Saddest Boy in the World

As most of you guys know, Levi is really sick. He has had a cold on and off pretty much since their birthday. Earlier in the week we had our two year checkup (details coming) where our doc said that the guys just have nasty colds. Since they Levi has gotten steadily worse. He has been miserable. Not moving, not eating, and mostly sleeping the day away. Yesterday we brought him to the doctor again and this time the doc found an ear infection (ouch!) AND pneumonia (OUCHOUCHOUCH!!).

He's had two doses of his antibiotics so far and that is not really enough to expect a huge turnaround. And he has not had one. He has spent the last 72 hours, when not in his bed sleeping, doing this. He just conks out wherever he is. And this is a boy who never ever ever sleeps anywhere but his bed, in arms, the carseat, or a stroller.

Levi just sat there tooting and tooting away. He made eye contact with me and smiled. I asked "Did you toot?" He pointed at Milo and said "Brother! Brother!"

I laughed so hard...

Doggie Owie

Levi's Doggie shares many emotions with Levi: they are hungry at the same time, interested in what is in the dishwasher at the same time, tired at the same time, and now, Doggie has an owie just like Levi.

Owie! Owie Owie!

As must of you know, Levi had a pretty bad owie on Thursday night. He fell on the slide next at the playground next door. The same slide he has done, oh, about 600 times since we moved in. But for some reason this time he fell and his face sprung a leak! I don't know for sure what hurt him, but I think that the zipper on his fleece attacked him. More proof that fleece is an evil fabric. More on that on another day.

Here is a photo of Levi after having been taped up by the doctor and waiting for two hours at the ER, but before waiting the final three hours before we got all stitched up.

Here is Levi this morning on our way to take the ferry to see Kendall and Bradford for a lovely surprise birthday brunch! He is healing nicely and not picking at the steri-strips. But it is a little swollen and kind of black and blue.

Everyone says if he DOES get a scar, it'll help them tell the guys apart. OK, only Meredeth said that. :)

Levi and the Rody

We got the guys a few new toys lately. This is called a Rody - it works like those big bouncy balls we used to it on and hop around the house on. But it also is fun in a thousand other ways.

This, unusually animated photo of Levi (he usually gets very serious when the camera comes out) was captured at the exact moment that Daddy walked in the door! He loves his Daddy.

Here Comes The Sun

Finally! Seattle delivers a GORGEOUS weekend day. We went to our new favorite park at Matthews Beach to play.

The boys enjoyed rocking on this big-boy plane. Until Levi tried to throw himself overboard.

The baby version of the Indiana Jones bridge was a big hit. They cruised back and forth for 20 minutes. And Levi discovered how delicious the metal chains are. Yum!

Levi Discovers Real Life Crawling

After months of military crawling Levi has finally discovered actual crawling! Just over the weekend he started doing it... and we think he likes it. I think he has been working on this since way back in August!

Last week in Whidbey Island we visited the Star Store in Langley. Dave and Benny discovered that Levi loves loves L O V E S whoopie cushions. This shoots my theory that, contrary to what Dave believes, farts are not funny. Levi's belly laugh proves that all boys think that all gas is funny. Naturally, Uncle Benny and Auntie KJ could not let the guys leave the store without the toy.

So, This Is What The Big Deal Was All About?

It was a big day! We got the guys in their BeBe Pods, whipped out every camera in the neighborhood and made the rice cereal.

Well, the guys didn't exactly love their first taste of solid food. Milo had some fun smearing it all over this face.

Levi somehow managed to spit out two times more food than we put in his mouth. Miraculous!

Gramma Carol and Grampa Lenny visit

Last night Gramma and Grampa Lenny arrived via Amtrak from Portland. We wasted almost no time taking a photo session of the four for the blog. Even though it threatened rain and pterodactyl sized flies were buzzing our heads.

They had just woken up from their naps as we took these photos so they are a teensy weensy bit drowsy and out of it. See?

Hi everyone!

Welcome to Milo and Levi's little corner of the Internet! I hope that we will do posts and pictures nearly every day so that everyone can stay in contact (at least virtually) with their favorite twin baby boys. It is only just starting so be patient while their web page(s) grow!

As you may have heard, we are trying to get the guys on a sleep routine. They got great naps today and that puts them in really sweet moods. While Milo was sleeping this afternoon Levi agreed to sit for a photo session. :)
