Bye-Bye Baba!

Gramps and Grannie Annie came for a too-short visit this past week. They happened to be here during a vocal EXPLOSION! So, the boys started calling Gramps "Baba" and "Babo" depending on their mood at the time.
We put Gramps to work immediately changing door knobs (who on earth installs a knob requiring a KEY for Pete's sake on an internal bathroom. Sheeesh), fixing broken door jambs, installing dimmers and giving lessons on electricity to Dave.
Gramps even made us some of his famous potato dumpling soup. It is gone already, though.

Grannie Annie and Baba left today at around noon. And after their afternoon nap the boys woke up asking where Baba was and pointing to the guest room. They'll be back soon, guys!

Gramps' Visit!

Gramps is such a popular guest. He is an unrivaled playmate for the boys, a chef for the whole family, a repairman for the house, and a babysitter for Mommy and Daddy! What else could anyone want?

Milo gets his first bedtime Computer Forensics lesson.

I happen to think that all my guys are very handsome in a uniform.

Sometimes, only one person wants to have their photo taken and the rest are totally taken by the lights in the reading room.

Who needs a double stroller when gramps is visiting?

Or even a single one?

Levi is having so much fun and he looks so adorable that it took a while of looking at the photo to notice that Milo was up to some serious shenanigans in the other room.

Five seconds after this photo was taken, Milo leapt at Gramps and tried to teethe on the camera.

Thanks for coming, Gramps. You are welcome in our house any time!

Gramps Made Amazing Toys!

Wow, do the boys have generous friends! They've gotten so many lovely thoughtful gifts for their birthday. Another box arrived yesterday which is super special, because Gramps made them!

Milo playing with the stacking toys Gramps made!
Gramps making the toys in his home!

These toys are even better than they look. They can be spun on the floor like tops, they can be banged together for extra fun, they can play "dropsy" off the table, and they can be stacked and knocked over like blocks. All of which the guys discovered within just a few minutes of the playing.
Thank you, Gramps!
