Aquarium pals!

May 31st, 2011 — 12:19am

Today we went to the aquarium with Lorraine and Clementine. And, since it was Memorial Day and therefore everyone in Seattle would be there, I’d say that makes us amazingly brave. But, we got there at the crack of dawn (aka 9.30) and it wasn’t crowded at all. The boys have really been enjoying the aquarium lately, so I got us a membership. The membership i got us seems to come with a behind the scenes tour of the facility! Which seems too good to be true, but I’ll look into it.

Levi photobombed Clementine’s close-up!

Snack break! We thought this was an out-of-the-way spot. Turns out it was the exit to the outside exhibit. Oops!

And I’m cheating. This one is from yesterday’s zoo trip. And the ones below are more of Levi jumping off the stairs at the farmers market.

We’re back!

June 6th, 2010 — 2:48pm

We’re back!  So much has happened since our last post! Summer has kind of arrived, we’ve had parties, we’ve made new friends, and gotten pretty good with our potties.  But mostly we go to the Zoo a lot. So, it is only fitting that our first post back commemerates a great Zoo trip where we made best friends with a special green friend.

We walk the line

Levi meets a bird

Milo meets the same bird

Rain, Nor Sleet, Nor Dark of Night

April 22nd, 2010 — 4:08am

Another post from “Babby“. Fantastic!

Today has been awesome. Neither rain nor more rain will stop these two explorers from going to their zoo to see their favourite animals. So with the rain coming down we packed our bags and headed off to have a great day outside in the RAIN.

The weather did not faze the boys at all. Bundled up and feeling rather roasty toasty we just strolled around. Today the boys were rather definite in their joint decision that they wanted to see the Hippo’s which we did find. But as far as Hippo’s go these were no exception, all they did were stand in the water sleeping and the boys just stood there and laughed at them for about 10 to 15min. They thought the Hippo’s to be so funny. Then we heard the lions and they were off, jumping in the odd puddle on their quest to find the grunting lion, which yet again we did do. After dragging me around the zoo for almost one and a half hours we decided to head home but not before we stripped in the car and climbed into some nice warm and dry clothes for our trip home.

Both boys have been really great and we have not had many issues at all today. Levi and Milo have both been really playful and full of stories. I asked them to sing the ABC song with me and Levi actually tried picking up on the odd letter here and there. It was so cute and also a big step for him.

We have just had so much fun.

Zoo Time!

December 6th, 2008 — 12:15am
We had a zoo day today. And the boys were WAY happier to be at the zoo than it looks. Trust me.

Farmer Levi was working the soybean fields and had time to pose for one photo.

Ok, actually two photos.

Farmer Milo was not as excited to get started on the plow-work as his brother. He wanted to go back and look at the tiny horses we’d just seen.
Special note to Gramma Char: The guys love their sweaters and they were toasty and warm in the hat and sweaters you made them!

We Went To The Woodland Park Zoo!

August 4th, 2008 — 3:41am

Today was a big day. With Dave out of town Gramma Carol and I wanted to take the boys to the Woodland Park Zoo. We thought they’d love to see the monkeys, flamingos, bears and stuff. As soon as we got in there was a ‘life stages of the butterfly’ exhibit. Here is Milo as a Pupa (hehe… you said Poo…)…

And Levi as a butterfly!

After that we had a pit stop in front of the Colobus monkeys. Strolled past a gorilla who did something so gross that even the 5 year old boys covered their mouths and ran away screaming “ick”. Rolled on past the flamingos. And then the boys let us, the red koala, and everyone around us, know that they were TIRED and wanted to GO HOME AND GO TO SLEEEEEEEEP.

So we did.
