Weekend Vacation – thank you friends.

August 8th, 2015 — 4:57am

We have the most amazing friends. Our friend Veronica gave us these fantastic swimsuits from plants versus zombies. And our dear friend Shannon was so kind as to let us have a weekend vacation at her weekend house so we could swim. We are very, very lucky.

What have we been up to?

October 4th, 2014 — 9:56pm

Well, lots! Let me tell you….

We said goodbye to Enrique, who had a family emergency back in Madrid and had to leave. It was terribly sad and we miss him. But, the upside is that Bappo Lenny and Nonie are staying with us and helping and playing until our NEW Au Pair arrives in November (more on that later).

We’ve been visiting the food forest and picking healthy things (and being silly)

We’ve been having playdates with friends: Earning new Karate belts!

Swimming, swimming, swimming!

And visiting the greatest house in all of WA state.

Phew. That is a lot. No wonder we are all so tired.

When I grow up

August 2nd, 2013 — 5:07am

Today after our special swimming lessons at Seattle Children’s Hospital pool (92 degrees, extra shallow end, amazing teachers, two-year wait-list) the following conversation was had.

Levi: “Mommy, what is in that room?”
Me: “it is a room where the doctors and other hospital staff eat.”
Levi: “Why can I not go in there?”
Me: “Do you work here?”
Levi: “no…..”
Levi: “Mommy, when I grow up I’m going to work here so I can go in that room.”
Me: “That sounds great. What job will you do here?”
Levi: “I’ll be a swim teacher. That way I can see you guys all the time.”
Milo: “Yeah, me too! Levi, let’s teach classes together.”
Levi: “We can teach together. I’ll only teach people who have twin brothers”
Milo: “Yeah, let’s teach the other kids!”
Levi: “And since we’ll see each other every day we don’t need to get married.”
Me: “Uh….. You are thinking that the only you can see Milo everyday is to get married? Brothers aren’t allowed to marry brothers. And since you are already family you don’t need…..”
Levi: “MILO! Lets get married.”
Me: “Uhm… guys, can you finish your dinner?”
