This year Halloween finally “clicked” with the boys.  We got awesome fireman costumes and wore them to the zoo Saturday, to the mall for playing on slides this morning, and trick-or-treating tonight.  It was so funny to see the guys think about it and decide that they weren’t ‘FireMEN’, but instead they were  ’FireBOYS’. Little boy logic is awesome.

At the zoo we met a giant penguin and a giant meerkat!

We could barely tear ourselves away from the meerkat and penguin… we just wanted to stare and stare at them.

We had our very first taste of chocolate milk, and we may never be the same.

The zoo does this cool thing.  they give the animals pumpkins to play with and eat.  This Sloth Bear made quick work of this jack-o-lantern.

Finally! Time to Trick or Treat! About halfway through our outing the boys realized that they were getting CANDY in their BAGS!  Before that they were just enjoying ringing the doorbells with their friends Finn and Gray (who were dressed as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dee).  But, once they realized they could EAT the CANDY the guys finally truly began to appreciate Halloween for all its glory.

We went to a super fun pumpkin patch today – Bob’s Corn Maze. We got to ride a cow train, rode a hay ride, climbed around on a pile o pumpkins, and played in their playground! If we go again, we’ll do the pony rides. And, next time Dave will put Milo’s shoes on the correct feet. Milo’s legs look all twisted up because DADDY PUT THEM ON THE WRONG FEET. God help us all…

We had a little twins meet up at Swanson’s for their Fall Festival today. There was a hay maze and giant pumpkins to look at. But mostly there were 10 sweet little ones to play with! Milo had his special occasion fall outfit on today from Gramma Carol. It is so cute I kind of want to throw up.
If we had a third little boy we’d want him to be just like Ben. Don’t you think he fits in really well? I mean… other than the fact that under that adorable hat is an adorable head full of strawberry blond hair… other than that he fits in with our guys. And you can tell how much Levi loves him – with his hand resting on his knee.

Don’t be sad! The Great Pumpkin will come and visit all the good little boys in Seattle!
