Milo and Mommy’s Zoo day

December 24th, 2012 — 4:05am

Here is Milo, getting ready for our day. He looked so stinking cute I had to take a few photos. Oh, and Char, that is a men’s large wool sweater which I felted and is now the most adorable boy’s sweater EVER.

It was a rainy day, but that is just perfect for feeding the penguins! We got there just as lunch started for the penguins, so we lined up to feed them.

The Penguins get REALLY excited at feeding time. They clump together like pigeons and fight for the fish.

The zookeeper is telling Milo and me all about the fish, which I think are silversides, that the penguins like so much.

I was a little worried Milo wouldn’t want to take the fish, but he didn’t hesitate grabbing the tail of the fish to feed the penguins at all!

This is Rosalita. She kept coming by even after the fish were gone. You can tell its her because of the light pink band on her left flipper (wing?).

Milo is tall enough to reach the big bear’s face now!

Wizard of Oz

December 24th, 2012 — 3:29am

Dave got the family tickets to see a local production of Wizard of Oz last week. The boys loved it! They have not stopped singing and dancing the songs ever since. And they’ve gotten creative too… Milo has decided that the reason that there was a storm (the twister which caused Dorthy’s house to travel to Oz) is that Darth Vader caused it.

Anyhow, here is a photo of Levi in a giant chair at the theater. :)

More Chanukah fun with Levi

December 11th, 2012 — 7:43pm

The Seattle JCC had a Hands-On Chanukah event at Northgate and Levi and I made a special 1:1 day.

Levi did great playing Dreidel. After a few spins he knew all the rules and was running the game not long after that.

Our camera-shy guy even enjoyed meeting and taking photos with David Dreidel, who spins when you high-five him.

Happy Chanukah

20121208-203119.jpgOk, it’s a little non- traditional, but here is how we spent it. 20121208-203108.jpg

Yes, that is a diving Santa, a Santa Clam, a menorah missing a candle, and the boys watching Star Wars for the first time.
